The oldest street in Ajaccio, the rue Roi de Rome allows you to reach the Place de Gaulle by crossing the entire old town. It is a Mecca for Ajaccio's parties (especially at the end of the week). We are going to tell you our favourite addresses...

The 20123

No sooner had we climbed the stairs than we were greeted by "Papi and Mamie" from the restaurant Le 20123. The tone is set! We walk through the door and we are transported to the village square of Pila Canale (south of Ajaccio). It is in fact its postcode that gives the name to the establishment.

It's like being at home here. On the menu? An assortment of recipes from our mothers and grandmothers made with local and seasonal products.
A guitar is enthroned on the fountain in the centre of the room (well, of the place) but it never stays for long as a decoration. Indeed, it is rare that the meal does not end with music...

From October to April, part of the restaurant is transformed into a wine bar and organises musical evenings every weekend. You can even privatize this place for your birthdays, works council...

The Aroma

The best parties are often the ones that are improvised. Not quite sure whether to just have an afterwork drink or dinner in the city?
Head to L'Arôme, where you can choose between a glass of wine with a plate of tapas or sit down to dinner. On weekends, you can even sway to the dance floor with the various DJs on offer.

One place, many possible parties!

Mani, Earth Food

He is a starred chef who offers us his earthly foods made with exceptional products from flour to salad, from meat to yeast, from fruit to vegetables.
Mani means "hands" in Corsican and it is precisely home-made food that you will have on your plate.

Until a few years ago, if you wanted to taste Romuald Royer's cuisine, you had to go to the restaurant Le Lido in Propriano (one Michelin star since 2012) or to his concept store: mani. Now you can taste his creations in the heart of the imperial city; all accompanied by fine wines.

THE KING OF ROME

Lovers of wood-grilled meats and traditional Corsican dishes, book your table at the Roi de Rome restaurant.
Imagine yourself in the middle of winter enjoying a good figatellu roasted in the fireplace... And as the restaurant is also a wine bar, there is everything you need in the cellar to accompany your dinner.

On sunny days, we recommend that you sit around the wine barrels (which have become high tables) to have a drink with friends and enjoy tapas.

Musical evenings are regularly scheduled, another reason to book!
