Halfway between Ajaccio and Corte, the village of Bocognano is renowned for its privileged location at the foot of Monte d'Oro, its chestnut groves, the bride's veil waterfall and the Richjusa canyoning site. Since 1982, Bocognano has been organising the Chestnut Fair on the second weekend of December. Organised by the Foyer Rural U Castagnu this fair is the king event of the winter: more than 20,000 visitors and more than 150 exhibitors.
