tour de la parata
Presentation
What to do in the Ajaccio region?
At the end of the road to the Sanguinaires is the Parata peninsula. There, on a rocky spur, stands a Genoese tower built in 1550-1551 by Giacomo Lombardo: the Parata tower.
A signposted path leads to the base of the tower, to discover the fauna and flora and to appreciate the Sanguinaires Islands (accessible only by seasonal boat). The whole of the Sanguinaires peninsula and archipelago has been awarded the Grand Site de France label.
